Terms of Use

By creating an account or using Straticumyou agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and “you” means that company. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. You are responsible for everything done under your account, and for keeping access to the Google account you sign in with secure. Tell us at hello@straticum.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

One person, one account. Do not share credentials — invite your colleagues to the workspace instead, which is what the roles below are for.

Straticum is organised around a company workspace shared by the people you invite. Members hold one of four roles — owner, admin, member or viewer — which determine what they can see and change.

Anyone you invite can see the workspace content their role permits, including the strategic profile, metrics, documents and assistant history. Invite deliberately. Removing a member ends their access but does not retract what they have already read.

You own what you bring. Your company information, documents, metrics, decisions and everything derived specifically from them remain yours. We claim no ownership of it.

You grant us a limited licence to host, copy, process and transmit that content strictly to operate the service for you — including sending relevant parts to the AI providers named in the Privacy Policy. The licence exists so we can run the product and ends when the content is deleted.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. If you connect a support inbox or load documents containing information about other people, you confirm you are entitled to do so and that doing so does not breach any obligation you owe them.

You agree not to:

• Use the service unlawfully, or to infringe anybody else’s rights.
• Upload malware, or attempt to gain access to another workspace, account or any part of our infrastructure you have not been granted.
• Probe, scan or load-test the service without our written permission, or circumvent plan limits, rate limits or billing.
• Scrape the service, resell it, or use it to build a competing product.
• Present AI-generated output as independently verified fact to third parties who are relying on it.
• Upload special-category personal information — health, biometric, or similar — which this product is not designed to hold.

This is the most important section in these terms.

Straticum produces briefings, competitor assessments, revenue and funding estimates, market views, growth opportunities and answers to your questions. All of it is generated by language models from the information available to them.

• It can be wrong. Models make factual errors, and they can state an estimate in confident prose that the underlying evidence does not support.
• Figures about third parties — a competitor’s revenue, funding or market share — are estimates inferred from public sources, not verified financial data.
• Output is not professional advice. It is not financial, legal, tax, investment, accounting or employment advice, and no professional relationship is created by using it.
• It does not improve with confidence. A high confidence score reflects how much material was available, not whether the conclusion is correct.

You must exercise your own judgement, and verify anything material before acting on it. Decisions you take remain yours, and their consequences remain yours. If a decision would be significant for your business, take professional advice on it.

You may connect third-party services such as Google Analytics, RevenueCat or Zendesk. Doing so authorises us to access the data those services expose, on your behalf, for as long as the connection is active.

Those services are operated by other companies under their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, accuracy or conduct. You may disconnect an integration at any time from settings, which revokes our access and removes the stored credentials.

AI features consume metered capacity, and your plan sets a limit on it. We record usage per feature and may throttle or decline requests once a limit is reached. Where fees apply, they are payable in advance and are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

We may change pricing on reasonable notice. If you do not accept a change, your remedy is to stop using the paid service before it takes effect.

The service itself — the software, interface, design, and the Straticum name and marks — belongs to us and our licensors. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use it, and nothing more. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from it.

We treat the content in your workspace as confidential and will not disclose it except as described in the Privacy Policy, to processors who need it to run the service, or where we are legally compelled.

We aim to keep Straticum available and accurate but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and will give reasonable notice of a material reduction where we can.

Parts of the service depend on third parties — AI providers, hosting, and whatever you have connected. An outage at one of those may degrade the product through no fault of ours.

You may stop using the service and delete your company at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if your use puts the service or other customers at risk, or if we are required to by law — immediately where the breach is serious, and otherwise on notice with an opportunity to put it right.

On termination your licence to use the service ends. Export anything you want to keep first; see the Privacy Policy for what is deleted and what is retained.

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated output.

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business opportunity, lost goodwill or lost or corrupted data, however caused.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or ZAR 1,000.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

You will indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from content you upload, from your breach of these terms, or from your use of the service in a way these terms do not permit.

We may update these terms. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and we will give notice in the product or by email before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use Straticum afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
